- Practice Games (+$20): Get some warm-up games in with the other players and try a teaching game with the pro guests! Light refreshments included.
- Welcome Party (+$100): Join us and the shogi pros at the Harborview Restaurant & Bar after Tournament Day 1 for some fine local food and festivities! Dinner as well as transportation to and from the venue (via Waymo) is included.

- Format:
- The Preliminary tournament and Individual tournament will both be Swiss Style, where the players with the most wins (against the highest ranked opponents) will rank the highest. The Semi-Finals will be single-elimination and the Semi-Finals winners will advance to the Finals, where the winners of each class will be crowned Champion.
- For all rounds through the semi-finals, players will have 10 minutes of thinking time and 40 seconds of byouyomi. The Finals match will have 20 minutes of thinking time and 40 seconds of byouyomi.
- For the team tournament, players will be organized by club and face-off round-robin style. Each will have 12 minutes ("kiremake", no byouyomi). A "Pro team" will also compete (with handicaps) and count towards the end result.
